This was a pic for 's birthday of one of the party members in our DnD game, Redek. I guess I've talked about Malhavoc and Arche at some length in here, but this was the first thing I'd done for Redek, who is the other core member of the party.

He's a street rat kid from Ranaport, which is the city we started off in. Promathia (the country Ranaport is located in) was rendered largely unmagical due to a disaster some thousands of years ago on its northern border. Promathia's people ended up developing a rather superstitious view of magic afterward and, even though Ranaport is a bit of a haven from the mind-fire that affects the rest of the country when someone tries to cast, magic was banned. The country ended up turning to more technological/industrial means to defend themselves from Essaria, with whom there seems to be a bit of a cold war happening.

So, long story short, Redek had never really seen magic before he met Mal and Arche and gets all excited whenever he sees something particularly cool. He's definitely the ... comic relief of the group, although he went through an angst period after Mal left (Redek percieved the event as a betrayal because he didn't really understand what happened with the mind control and all). He's the most agile and acrobatic, pulls off the best stunts, and - despite having skills/equipment to boost his luck - is responsible for some of the most epic fails in terms of dice rolling -_-

He looks up to Mal like a brother and has a crush on Arche (ad every other moving, breathing girl he comes across... well, who can blame him, he's like 17).

Some of you may have noticed that he bears a striking resemblance to Vaan from FFXII. Umm... private joke

Oh - the glowing ring in the sky is actually the remains of this planet's moon (presumably). Ranaport's bay has the curious property of reflecting the moon itself instead of the ring. We haven't really figured that one out yet, but if you are wondering why the reflection doesn't match the sky - now you know ^_^
